SonarWiz is a hydrographic and marine geophysics software suite for planning, acquiring, processing, and mapping sidescan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, bathymetry (single-beam and multibeam), and magnetometer data. It streamlines the end-to-end workflow—from real-time collection and quality control to final chart production—with tools for navigation editing, layback and time synchronization, tide and sound-velocity corrections, automatic bottom tracking, gain normalization, sidescan mosaicking, bathymetry cleaning and gridding, and sub-bottom horizon interpretation. SonarWiz supports a wide range of sensors and common industry file formats, manages targets and contacts, and exports deliverables such as georeferenced mosaics, grids, and GIS/CAD layers. Typical uses include cable and pipeline route surveys, habitat mapping, dredging support, marine archaeology, and general hydrographic charting.
